Networked Technology Futures, led by Juljan Krause, PhD

These pages will be updated with further information after impact gathering.

Project Overview

The chief aim of this initiative was to get policymakers to attend to the effects of networked computing that routinely slip under the radar:to equip them better so that they can mould networked technology futures prospectively and proactively for the benefit of all rather than reactively respond to their surprising impact.

Policy Implications

In its objectives, this initiative aligns in particularwith the Call’s criteria of new policy engagement and knowledge exchange with a national and international perspective, as well as the establishment of new partnerships and collaborations aimed at supporting evidence-based policy making. It seeks to complement and extend thework of the PPS.The initiative provides considerable synergy effects and ample opportunity for fellow early career researchers to maximise exposure. The initiative targets disadvantaged and underrepresented groups in particular in that it aims to offer concrete policy proposals to limit the disproportionate impact that some networked technologies create for marginalised groups.
